House Signature Chenin – Ronelle Scholtz (26) & Tiaan Jacobs (35) 

Cape Town’s “architects turned challengers.” Tiaan from Durbanville and Ronelle from Bellville first met while studying architecture and have stayed connected ever since. Their design philosophy merges technical precision with soulful touches. Tiaan moonlights as a DJ, bringing rhythm to his creative process, while Ronelle is preparing for her upcoming wedding – making their journey on My Design Rules even more meaningful this season.

Team Signature Chenin describe their kids bedroom:

Our goal was to bring the joy of parenthood into our design. We decided to go with a nursery, focusing on the tiny bundle of joy. The continued use of the wood panels creates a cocoon effect, and brings warmth into the space. We wanted to tell a story with this room, and by using variations of wood furniture, soft fabrics and gorgeous items from Woolies, we were able to do so.
