Cape Town’s “architects turned challengers.” Tiaan from Durbanville and Ronelle from Bellville first met while studying architecture and have stayed connected ever since. Their design philosophy merges technical precision with soulful touches. Tiaan moonlights as a DJ, bringing rhythm to his creative process, while Ronelle is preparing for her upcoming wedding – making their journey on My Design Rules even more meaningful this season.

The lounge is a warm celebration of natural elements and local artistry. Framed by striking Afrisam concrete ceilings and enriched with tactile woods and organic textures, the space feels grounded and authentically connected to its surroundings. Artwork from local creators adds depth and character, making the room feel curated yet comfortable. With breath-taking views that are echoed in the interior palette and materials, the lounge becomes a seamless extension of the landscape. It’s a welcoming environment where the home-owners can unwind in effortless comfort and guests can be entertained in style.
