House Signature Chenin – Ronelle Scholtz (26) & Tiaan Jacobs (35) 

Cape Town’s “architects turned challengers.” Tiaan from Durbanville and Ronelle from Bellville first met while studying architecture and have stayed connected ever since. Their design philosophy merges technical precision with soulful touches. Tiaan moonlights as a DJ, bringing rhythm to his creative process, while Ronelle is preparing for her upcoming wedding – making their journey on My Design Rules even more meaningful this season.

Ronelle & Tiaan describe their Primary Bedroom and Ensuite Bathroom: 

The master suite is designed as a serene sanctuary – a space where the owners can truly retreat, recharge, and reconnect. Bathed in abundant natural light, the room frames breath-taking views of the Paarl mountains, creating a daily backdrop of calm and inspiration. The interior celebrates creativity and locality, featuring thoughtfully curated artwork from local artists that adds soul and personality to the space. This suite is more than a bedroom; it’s a restorative haven where beauty, comfort, and artistic expression come together to offer the owners a deeply personal place to unwind and enjoy.
