The wildcards of Season 2. Both from Paarl, Zanelle is a horse-riding enthusiast with a meticulous eye for detail, while Lee is a former Mr South Africa runner up, a popular radio presenter and a familiar face in the lifestyle space. They’ve never met before – but the My Design Rules team paired them up for this season to see whether hometown pride and complementary skills can translate into winning designs.

Stepping into this kitchen feels like entering a modern countryside haven—where refined design meets the warmth and character of Winelands living. The space is anchored by sleek skinny-shaker cabinetry, a contemporary interpretation of classic country style. Their clean, elegant lines pair beautifully with the rich oak veneer accents, creating a balance of heritage charm and modern simplicity.
Soft, beautifully crafted Moorland Fog Caesarstone countertops contrast gently with the warmth of the cabinetry, offering a timeless surface that feels both luxurious and inviting. To weave in your signature Shiraz theme, a decorative tile the Strata Vintage Rust adds a touch of artistry and depth in the scullery, its subtle pattern catching the eye and grounding the space with personality.
The dining area flows effortlessly from the kitchen, centered around a solid oak table with an organic, sculptural shape that introduces natural movement and contrast. Above it, a beautifully commissioned artwork by Rossi da Vino instantly becomes a conversation starter—bold, expressive, and perfectly aligned with your love for wine-inspired detail.
Touches of Shiraz-inspired colour appear thoughtfully throughout the space, adding richness without overwhelming the calm palette.
